As this disease have been spreaded all around the world. And to prevent it's chain reaction of it's virus from one person to another. Most of all countries have declared lock-down situation for safety of people. Even the antidote has been not invented. So what we can do is to maintain social distancing. Travelled around 10,000 KMs across India in 2 months before lock-down situation. That's a big achievement for me
Before lock-down I've travelled around 10,000 Kilometres across India in 2 months. That was such big achievement for myself. There’s something so dreamy about the idea of traveling that makes us all want to put life on hold for a bit and escape reality. By jetting off to someplace you’ve never been before, you open yourself up to the unknown, where an endless amount of possibilities await your arrival — and that in itself is extremely tempting. Perhaps there is a constantly passionate itch to travel developed in myself, and cannot fathom the thought of remaining in one place for too long.

The Girnar Mountain, All you need to know about, before visiting or climbing
Girnar mountain is group of mountains located near Junagadh, Gujarat. Nearest airport is at Rajkot, located 103 kilometers away from Junagadh. Bus facility is available to travel from Rajkot to Junagadh. From Junagadh local rickshaws & cabs are easily available with very low fare and they will drop you at Girnar Taleti. It is the place from where you can start climbing Girnar. With help of Google maps or locals it's very easy to reach there.
There are 10,000 steps on Girnar. There are mainly two top points of mountain. First one is Ambaji Sikhar located on 5000 steps and second is Dattatreya located on 10,000 steps. It's also highest hill of mountain.
Things you need to know first before climbing this mountain :-
Climbing is not very easy it requires lots of physical and mental strength, get prepared.
If you are ill then don't try, good health is very priority.
It will be difficult if you are with children and elder people.
Things you need to carry and what to wear while climbing :-
A light-weight small backpack, bottle of water, lots of chocolates and chewing gums (depends on your taste, but one with salt, sugar and other ingredients would be better ex. Pulse by Pass-Pass), few packets of snacks that's all don't carry any useless things. As you will climb mountain weight of backpack will increase accordingly.
For wearing i recommend sport shoes with good grip, comfortable shorts and full sleeve T-shirt (low thickness of material). Keep one thing in mind that you gonna sweat a lot.
If you are visiting during winter then don't carry jacket. If visiting during monsoon then carry rain-court or umbrella, nature will be amazing but the risk will be too high because you may slip easily while climbing, so i won't recommend to visit during monsoon.
Also carry basic gadgets like power bank. Battery will drain only because of camera because there is no any network available, due to that inform your family in advance not to worry.
There are many food stalls available on distance of few steps, you will get water bottles and snacks there. So don't need to carry more. Even if you have carried much luggage and you realise it while climbing then you can also put your luggage there.
After climbing few steps don't forget to take short break, keep yourself hydrated and rest for 3-5 minutes. As i have mentioned just take short break and keep going, don't take long break otherwise it will be more difficult.
Best season to visit Girnar and what's best time to start climbing :-
For just visiting all the seasons are good but if you want to climb then the best season is Winter. Because during Summer temperature will be very high and for safety reasons i won't recommend Monsoon.
The best time to start climbing is early morning. Normally it will take 4-7 hours, then depends on individual. If you are going with group then you can also start climbing at 2-3 A.M., sunrise from above is very beautiful from above. But during that time few shops will be open, so don't forget to carry basic things. And if you are having fear then start climbing at early morning because there will be full darkness and silence. But it will also give you good view of city as below image. And the plus point is that you will reach on top before sunrise so you can witness beautiful sunrise, great opportunity for photography & videography. I have also captured a time lapse Click here to Watch Time lapse of Sunrise at Girnar
But if you are going to climb alone then start climbing at early morning around 5-6 A.M.
After reaching Ambaji Sikhar you may feel like you have climbed girnar but chill it's just 5000 steps have completed half way. The real struggle will start from here because the steps between Ambaji Sikhar and Dattareya are very high, slippy and very difficult to climb. The road is full of heights and slopes. You should be careful.
And don't forget that you also need to climb this steps again while returning. If you don't have much energy remaining after reaching Ambaji Sikhar at 5000 steps then it will be good if you return from that point.
While returning there will be steps with slope, your muscles will be already in pain and you might also fall. So that take care.
That's all, don't worry too much. You will surely enjoy this experience. And won't even regret visiting or climbing this mountain. You can feel nature and will return with lots of memories.
All the best, keep exploring.
